2015 Polaris Slingshot

While the Polaris Slingshot is legally classified as a motorcycle, because it has just 3 wheels, it certainly looks more like a roadster. I guess it is a bit of both. The 2015 Polaris Slingshot ($24,000) is built for handling. It can pull (almost .88G) 1-G in corners, has a 77.6-inch wheelbase, sport-tuned aluminum double wishbone suspension, gas-filled coil-over shocks, electronic stability control, ABS brakes, and sway bars. The Polaris Slingshot makes the driver feel like they are driving a go-kart as the riders butt is around 6-inches off of the ground.Polaris Slingshot cutaway

OK, handling is good. How about the power? The 1,700-pound Slingshot gets a 2.4L DOHC engine, a 9.8 gallon gas tank, and  5-speed manual transmission. So you know the power to weight ratio is going to be nice, but they haven’t published any top speed or 0-60 times as of yet. Watch the Polaris Slingshot video after the break.
