Fitbit Surge and Charge HR

The fitness monitors from Fitbit continue to evolve. The three latest models are the Charge, Charge HR, and the Surge.

The Fitbit Charge ($130) is the closest thing to a replacement of the Fitbit Force. Expect the same functionality there with the addition of automatic sleep tracking. This is a welcome improvement and doesn’t require the user to manually set awake settings.

The Fitbit Charge HR ($150) is more of the same with the awesome addition of a built-in heart rate monitor.

The Fitbit Surge ($250) will be more of a smart watch styled device with the addition of a built-in GPS for tracking distance, pace, routes, and even elevation. There is also a touchscreen display and a continuous heart rate monitoring feature. About time!

Expect to see these new Fitbits early next year.
