Microwave With Built-in Thermal Imaging
One crafty fellow is trying to do what Elon Musk has done with the automobile, but his target is the microwave oven. His video, after the break, does a great job explaining his vision for a better microwave.
Some highlights include a built-in thermal imaging camera and LCD screen to show you how hot whatever you are cooking is. In other words you could see if your frozen burrito is cooked all the way through before removing it from the oven. A burrito heat map if you will. No more lava hot or frozen centered burritos! He also wants to tie the microwave (imaging, etc..) to your home network so you can see what is going on via your computer, tablet, or smartphone. Genius.
