Selfie Fingernails With Hair = Disturbing
Another strange one from the “you can’t make this stuff up” section. Apparently Dain Yoon has too much time on her hands (get it) and made this creepy set of selfie fingernails. The hair makes them look like mini voodoo dolls to me. Either way, I hope this doesn’t become a trend. More pictures of […]
Aluminum And Mercury
Ever wondered what happens when aluminum and mercury mix things up? Pretty cool stuff. Video after the break.
Bose SoundLink Micro Bluetooth Speaker
The crowded market of Bluetooth speakers continues to grow. Bose is adding a new speaker to their SoundLink line with a tiny/portable speaker, the SoundLink Micro ($110). The Bose SoundLink Micro Bluetooth Speaker is just 1.5-inches high and 3.75-inches square and weighs 0.64-pounds. We can expect to see this speaker for sale around September 21st, […]
Dental Patients See Updated Smiles With Augmented Reality
Just like the augmented reality filters on your smartphone that allow you to wear glasses, hats, and other silly faces, dentists are getting in on the game. Researchers in Switzerland have developed a “virtual mirror” that allows patients to try on their new smile ahead of the surgery. This technology was created by Kapanu and […]
Automatic Remote Controlled Car Tent Umbrella
Apparently this is a “thing” as there are multiple manufacturers of this car tent umbrella gadget. I have yet to see one of these car tent things in the real world. For around $239 you can have a remote controlled umbrella for your car. You simply put it on the roof of your car, hit […]
DJI Mavic Pro Platinum – Longer And Quieter Flights
Drones, and DJI specifically, have come a long way in the last few years. Flight distances, telemetry, obstacle avoidance, silky smooth gimbals, high quality cameras, and size reduction are just a few of the areas that have improved massively. DJI has just addressed two more issues in an effort to perfect the quadcopter with their […]
SanDisk 400GB microSD
About two years after releasing the 200GB microSD card (which was the highest-capacity at the time), Sandisk has done it again with a massive 400GB version (SDSQUAR-400G-GN6MA). That is 40 hours of full HD video and transfer speeds of up to 100 MB per second. All of this for the price of $250. Amazing.
Nest Thermostat E
A new Nest thermostat has landed, the Nest Thermostat E. Not sure about the name but let’s talk about what is different/new. Not much. The Nest Thermostat E now has a frosted LCD screen, a white bezel, a slightly smaller diameter (3.19 instead of 3.3). It also comes, out of the box, with a pre-set […]
OTTOLOCK Lightweight Bike Lock
The OTTOLOCK is a clever take on the age old problem of what bike lock should I use. You can go with the super heavy and slightly more secure locks but you have to lug that weight around with you. And to be fair, all locks, yes all locks, can be compromised rather quickly with […]
Coolest Weather Site Yet – Ventusky
As a kid I used to think it was strange that the “adults” were always talking about the weather. Fast forward several years and I check the weather every day. What happened to me? Oh well. If I am going to check the weather, I should at least enjoy the website/UI. This website, VentuSKY, allows […]
