Hidden TV Mount In A Picture Frame

My wife won’t allow me to have a TV in the bedroom, so this is for the lucky guys who are allowed such a thing.  This hidden picture frame TV mount has to be one of the coolest around as it hides a TV (15-32-inches) in a nice wooden picture frame.  When you want to watch TV you simply pull the mount open and can watch TV while laying in bed in your natural resting position.  No more neck or back strain to watch TV at the end of the bed. You don’t need a huge TV either, as the TV is only a few feet above your head.

This hidden picture frame TV mount extends the TV a full 40-inches from the wall and is easy to install.  Maybe I can get one if I put a picture of my wife in the picture frame?  Worth a shot.  More details and pictures after the break.

iPad Foosball

While most games seem to have migrated to the iOS app store and specifically the iPad, some games just don’t fit a flat screen.  While there are Pac Man style games on the iPad, the Joystick is better suited for that style of game.  Same thing goes for Foosball.  You just need to have the real handgrips for this type of game.

The creative folks at New Potato Technologies have merged the iPad with Classic Foosball ($99).  They did this by making a mini foosball table that uses the iPad (version 1/2/3) as the screen with real handles.  Hard to imagine, but pretty damn cool.  Check it out in action after the break.

Audiowood Barky Turntable

Whether you are rocking out in a wooded cabin or an ultra modern mansion, the Audiowood Barky Turntable will surely fit in and get plenty of double takes.  The Barky Turntable starts off in the Rega parts bin and has a thick glass platter, a Rega Bias cartridge, an ash wood base, adjustable metal feet, and a RB303 arm.  Pretty, no?

For just $44.99 you can have one hell of a gift for that person who takes their iPad with them everywhere.  While I don’t like thinking about folks taking their iPad to the bathroom we all know it happens.  Mine as well free up their hands while they handle business.  Yuck.

This Toilet Paper Holder With iPad Stand has a 10-inch metal adjustable gooseneck iPad holder, a chrome pedestal, and a heavyweight base.  Oh yeah, it also dispenses toilet paper.

Hecto Laser Projector

Arriving in the United States this March is LG’s Hecto Laser TV, a 100-inch two-piece  projector (screen and projector) that can work from as close as 22-inches.  The LG Hector Laser Projector has a contrast ratio of better than 1,000,000:1 and a lighting system with five times greater life than standard lamp-based projectors.

The Hecto delivers Full HD 1080p resolution, and will have plasma display viewing quality and good ambient light performance.  You get Smart TV functionality baked in and 3 HDMI ports.

Kohler Moxie Showerhead Wireless Speaker

Who doesn’t want music in the shower?  Good music can help get you out of bed and into your daily grind.  Sounds easy enough… but adding music to a wet environment isn’t always that simple.

While there are waterproof Bluetooth speakers… I don’t have room on my one little shower shelf… and anything with a suction cup eventually ends up falling off and breaking as it hits the floor.

And yes, I can just put a mini boom-box on the bathroom sink.  But this solution, takes up valuable sink real estate and tends to wake everyone else in the house.

The closest solution to date is the one pictured above, the Kohler Moxie Showerhead Wireless Bluetooth Speaker.  You get a great showerhead (in two versions, a 2.0 gpm or 2.5 gpm) made from Kohler… they know water.  In addition you get a removable and rechargeable waterproof Bluetooth speaker.  Leave your phone on the sink and let the tunes play right out of the showerhead.  The battery will last for about 7 hours of music then needs to be removed and charged via USB.

While I like the idea… and will most likely be asking Santa for a Kohler Moxie ($199)… I really wish they put volume and track controls on the unit.  Huge miss in an otherwise great idea.

CastleCreek Media Stand Fireplace

Get the warmth of a real log-burning fireplace without all of the work, cleanup, and firewood.  The CastleCreek Media Stand comes with a built-in electric fireplace and storage for your components and TV.  The electric fireplace can also be controlled by an included remote control.  There are two heat settings (750W and 1,500W) and uses forced air to heat the room.

iPad Mini

The cat is out of the bag… most of the rumor mills were correct… the iPad Mini has arrived.  For those that want a tablet that will fit in their cargo pockets, the iPad Mini might be the one.  Only 0.68 pounds, 7.2mm thick thin, with a 7.9-inch screen, an A5 processor, a front (FaceTime) HD camera, a rear 5MP iSight camera, and the latest tiny Lightning connector.  Yours from $330 to $660 depending on capacity and wireless configurations, shipping November 2nd.

DBEST London Duo Speaker Review

I have been using the DBEST PS4003BT rechargeable wireless Bluetooth mini speakers for a few weeks now and I’m impressed.  It took no time at all to pair the speakers with an iPhone 4s.  I was steaming my music in minutes.  I first used them in the house while cleaning up and left my phone in my pocket. The range was so good that I was able to roam into other rooms and the music kept playing (45 feet).  Read on for the full review of the DBEST PS4003BT speakers.
