Another daily deals site has launched and focuses on lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LBGT) customers. The site is similar to groupon in that it offers daily deals from local businesses, the main difference is that the businesses are known to be LBGT friendly. In addition a portion of proceeds will be donated to LGBT charities and the like.
I think this idea has legs. Instead of just focusing on generic deals in a locale, they focus on companies that respect equality in every facet of their businesses. GayPon (dailygaypon.com) does a check on every business they add to their network looking for discrimination complaints, bad hiring practices, etc,
