Ford is now taking reservations for the 2012 Focus Electric for deliveries in California, New York, and New Jersey. This will be Ford's first electric car, with five more all-electric vehicles hitting in the next few years. The Ford Focus Electric will have a 23 kWh lithium-ion battery, a 130 kW (130HP) motor, a top speed of 84 mph, and a ho-hum 100 mile range. I personally hope the big manufacturers catch up to Tesla Motors when it comes to range, 100 miles just isn't enough.
With that said, Ford is doing a great job at improving their designs, both outside and inside. I like the 8-inch touchscreen display, the two customizable 4.2-inch main displays, ambient lighting, HID headlights, particulate air filter, and rear camera. More pictures after the break.
