KTM Freeride Electric Motorcycle

KTM Freeride E

Looks like another electric motorcycle just hit the streets.  The KTM Freeride E is going to be putting some heat on the competition.  Watch out Zero Motorcycles, Brammo, and Mission One.  They are all pretty neat, but, IMHO, they will all fail unless they get the range above 200 miles per charge.  The KTM Freeride Electric Motorcycle is not even giving a mile range but instead, a time range of “20 minutes professional, 45 minutes amateur”.  Funny.  The KTM isn't trying to be a commuter bike, smart, but instead more of a play toy.

The KTM Freeride E uses a swappable 2.1kWh lithium ion battery pack making about 30 horsepower while only weighing 209lbs.  Read on for more details and video.
