We made it to Milwaukee. Spent two nights in the old Pabst Blue Ribbon Brewery building. One of the buildings is now an amazing hotel that has kept much of the history in tact (see the original copper kettles from the 1890’s). Can’t think of a better place to stay in Milwaukee.
We were lucky enough to meet the owner of several of the PBR buildings while on the brewery tour. He, and his sister, went to dinner with us and gave us a special tours and history lessons. Very cool.
Some of the other PBR brands include Old Milwaukee, Blatz, Schlitz, Stroh’s, Lone Star, Primo, Colt 45, and more. A bunch of beer underdogs. The Old Milwaukee mural below was painted by Will Ferrell during a commercial and is still on the wall.
