Finally, a heart rate monitor that will be both accurate and comfortable. Well, at least that is the promise of FitLinxx with their AmpStrip. Read on for details.
Some of sports bands and watches work well for tracking heart rate and more but need to be worn tight on the wrist if you want accurate results. The chest straps are uncomfortable and I certainly wouldn’t want to wear one for daily tracking.
The AmpStrip($149) is very small, thin, flexible, and is worn like a sticker. Yep, it has adhesive that allows it to stay attached for 3 to 7 days. Great for tracking respiration, heart rate and more whether you are swimming, running, working, and/or sleeping. The battery is good for 7+ days before needing a wireless recharge. Synching with your devices (iOS and Android) is handled via BlueTooth 4.0 and will work with most fitness apps. Hopefully the adhesive is easy to swap out and agrees with my skin.
Automatic. Just put it on and go. It captures continuous heart rate plus other important metrics like rest and recovery.
Smart. No need to remember to push start or stop or even tell it what you’re doing "“ IT JUST KNOWS!
Friendly. Leveraging wireless radio standards, it works with your favorite workout apps.
Memory. No phone nearby? No worries. It stores your data until the next time you're near your device.
Waterproof. You can even swim and shower with it.
Accurate. Electrical is better than optical. It won't lose the signal during an intense workout.
Comfortable. It's small and discrete, you won't even know it's there.
