Let me start off by professing my love of my Ergo Auto Pet Feeder 2000GS (you can read that review here). While it is close to perfect, it isn’t “smart” and doesn’t have remote feeding. With that said it does the job just fine and hasn’t failed me for over 15 years. That says something.
Now on to the RolliPet Smart Pet Feeder ($139) which is priced very similarly. Just like the Ergo Auto Pet Feeder 2000GS, the RolliPet, has portion control and scheduled feedings. I imagine the user interface is much improved because of the fact that you can use your smartphone via their app. The main differences with the RolliPet are;
- two-way audio which lets you talk and listen to your pet from anywhere in the world but also allows for a recorded message that can be played before feeding
- video surveillance from anywhere via the smartphone app
