ROBBOX xDock smart tool interface touchscreen module product hero

Crooked holes are a personality trait until the hardware store starts judging you. ROBBOX xDock (xDock Smart Tool Interface) is the compact hardened-glass touchscreen that clamps onto drills and drivers you already own and throws live angle/position guidance on the bit path – perpendicular when you want square, custom angles when the wall is lying to you. Live storefront price is $149.99, Batch 2 is available (Batch 1 sold out), and ROBBOX currently says Shipping Now with ships in about 1-2 business days.

The demo energy is peak shop-floor nerd: slap it on a Milwaukee M12 (or your flavor of DeWalt / Makita / Ridgid with the right mount), park the backside on an angled surface, double-tap to calibrate, remount, and let the UI walk you into a clean perpendicular. Gravity Mode is instant level guidance. Tracking Mode is the “hold this weird angle like you meant it” mode after calibration. It also works wrist-worn or standalone when you are not glued to a chuck.

Mount story matters. In the box you get the xDock smart module plus a universal belt-clip mount, charging cable, and case. Tool-specific mounts (sold separately, about $19.99 each on the store) cover a growing list of Milwaukee, DeWalt, Makita, and Ridgid models – Bosch is listed as coming soon. No mount for your exact SKU yet? Universal / wrist / standalone still covers a lot of “I just need the screen in the right place” jobs, and ROBBOX says the platform is expandable toward more smart accessories.

How it works (shop brain, not brochure brain): mount the module so you can see it while drilling, pick Gravity Mode when you want level / plumb vibes, or calibrate then use Tracking Mode when the workpiece is already angled and you need the bit to stay true to that plane. Live tool display mirrors the “smart guidance” vibe of other ROBBOX gear without forcing you to buy a whole new drill. It is an accessory platform, not a motor – your existing trigger still does the spinning.

Fair caveats: xDock is not a drill, not a bit, and not magic if your mount does not fit – check the compatibility list before you emotionally checkout. Brand trademarks (Milwaukee, DeWalt, Makita, Ridgid, Bosch, etc.) belong to their owners; ROBBOX is an aftermarket guidance add-on. Storefront copy currently pushes Batch 2 + Shipping Now (1-2 business days), not a far-future preorder window – always re-check live stock and ETA on the product page before you plan a weekend project around the box.

If hole-finding black magic is more your problem than angle discipline, our Magnespot XR1000-K2 drill hole locator is the stud-bay whisperer. Measuring before you commit? HOTO Laser Measure Pro. Pocket multitool chaos for the rest of the job? James Brand Helton.
