Ethiopia Makes Using Skype Or Google Voice Punishable With 15 Years In Jail
Just like a marijuana violation in the US (silly, right?), using Skype (or Google Voice, or any VoIP service) can get you 15 years in jail in Ethiopia. Recent Ethiopian legislation criminalizes the use of Voice Over IP (VoIP) within the country. Why would the Ethiopian government do such a stupid thing? Are they trying […]

The AOC Aire iPlay Monitor is a 23-inch LED with a 60Hz refresh rate, a 1920×1080 resolution, a 5ms response time, 16:9 aspect ratio, an HDMI input, and a pair of 10 watt speakers. That alone is pretty standard stuff… but they also stuck an iPhone / iPod dock on the base of the monitor. […]
Barbecue Dining Boat
At first glance I was super interested in this floating paradise which sports a motor, a 24-inch charcoal BBQ grill, seating for 10 people, a table, and a large umbrella. But then I saw the price tag and choked a bit… $50,000. Really? “This is the boat with a built-in barbecue grill, umbrella, and trolling […]
World’s Largest Rubber Duck
What looks like it could be a Photoshop gag, turns out to be real. Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman created the world’s largest rubber duck. The rubber duck stands 40-feet tall and no doubt brings smiles wherever it lands.

The concept phone pictured above is a designers dream, Antoine Brieux, of the new Liquid Metal iPhone 5. This French designer wrapped the new iPhone 5 concept in a high performance Liquid Metal alloy. The home button on the front of the phone is a “virtual” button and sits in the same place as the […]
