The taste of a “true” free range chicken egg is much better than what we typically get at the grocery store. The yolk is a darker, deeper yellow and stands up in the pan. Once you have had a good egg it makes it tough to eat the sad, pale, inexpensive eggs that most folks purchase. Don’t take my word for it, buy four chickens, this chicken coop and let your hens roam the yard and eat feed and bugs. This chicken coop is easy to assemble,...

The traditional 3M Post-It notes are great for the home and office. Not so great, if you are an outdoorsy or tough environment type of person. You know, like a painter, contractor, gardener, etc… That is where the 3M Extreme Post-It Notes come in. The “extreme” version can stick on rough surfaces like brick and wood in cold, hot, or wet conditions. They are the toughest Post-It notes yet.

Cold weather doesn’t have to end your backyard hangout sessions. You just need to be creative. Try popping a Breeo smokeless fire pit to your backyard hangout area. There are four Breeo models to choose from (Ablaze, Zentro, Double Flame, and Luxeve). The Breeo fire pits keep smoke at a minimum...

Ever come home from a long days work and just two things come to mind? A  warm shower and a cold beer. This is where the Sudski ($15) comes in. The Sudski is a drink can holder (in most cases for beer) that securely grips to your shower wall surfaces. It even has drainage so it doesn’t...

Ever wanted to be alerted when motion is detected in your home, office, or garage without having a traditional alarm system? I have, and surprisingly there aren’t many options without subscription based services. I don’t want to add another camera or a costly alarm system. I just want to know when someone is in my garage for example. The only decent option that tends to come up is the D-Link DCH-S150 Wi-Fi Motion Sensor ($29). The DCH-S150 plugs...

I am a big fan of Apple Maps now that they have gotten better and don’t send me on wild goose chases. With that said, I often find myself using the Waze app when going on longer trips or when I may be driving a bit faster than the speed limit. For those of you not familiar with the Waze app, it uses crowd sourced data to update you of a where the cops are hiding (and other things as well). Pretty cool app. The Escort Max 360C ($700) might just be...

Captain_Xavier_Nerf_Rival

The Nerf Rival blasters can fire foam balls at up to 70 miles per hour. Pretty awesome right out of the box. Impressive, but not enough for YouTube’s Captain Xavier, who modded his Nerf Rival with a spinning feeder and a 2,000-shot backpack. If you do the math, that is about 20 foam balls for every second. If this heavily modded Nerf Rival has the trigger held down, it will devour 2,000 rounds in just over a minute and a half. Video of Captain Xavier and his crazy Nerf gun after the break. (more…)

Taking pictures of your dog can be tricky. They can have the attention span of a gnat, unless of course there is a ball involved. This clever smartphone gadget clips on your phone without blocking the camera and holds a tennis ball which guarantees Fido’s attention. Check out some of the dog selfies that were taken with the Pooch Selfie ($12.99).       ...
