LG Decoy Coming To A Store Near You On June 16
The LG Decoy VX8610 is a slider style phone with a new look. There are four standard buttons that surround a trackball d-pad (similar the ball used on BlackBerry devices). The phone slides open just like the Chocolate and Venus. Just like a mullet, all business up front… party in the back. On the […]
UV Cootie and Germ Killing Wand
I went to college (surprise) with guys who would eat pizza crust off the floor. They either had really good immune systems or spent quite a bit of time on the toilet. I on the other hand, am a bit of a germarphobe, I don’t even like sharing drinks/straws with family. Sorry Mom. So when […]
Solar Powered Battery Charger
I have an addiction to solar gadgets and rechargeable batteries. So when you combine the two you have a winner in my book. This unit costs less than $24 at Amazon, and charges D (UM-1), C(UM-2), AA (UM-3), and AAA (UM-4) size batteries. The solar panel is built into the hinged lid which allows you […]
Wordlock – Easy To Remember Padlock Combinations
Have a hard time remembering cryptic combination locks? Tired of carrying so many keys? Try out this gadget of a lock – the WordLock – which uses words instead of numbers or keys. Remember a simple word instead of a random set of numbers. The locks come in a standard padlock size (pictured above), and […]
Timberjack 6-Legged Walking/Logging Robot
“Felling trees is a tedious task, hoping to make matters easier is this Plustech Oy / John Deere hexapod logging machine prototype. It has strong six-legs that does less damage to the forest and can move through more difficult terrain than wheeled or tracked logging machines. Apparently when the machine confronts obstacles, it simply steps […]
Panasonic Evolta Robot
Looks like Panasonic has the Energizer Bunny dead in their sites. Panasonic has created a new “longer lasting” AA battery labeled the Evolta (combining “evolution” and “voltage”), which is supposed to last 20 percent longer than anything offered by Duracell and Energizer. Panasonic put some of these batteries in a rope climbing robot and set […]
Hi-Tech Digital Pocket Watch
I have always fancied pocket watches, even though they are a bit out of place in 2008 not to mention unpractical. It is just one more thing to lose… and a watch on your wrist tends to do the job. With all of that stacked against the pocket watch Adam Huffman has come out with […]
Name This Gadget
Name this gadget contest. Don’t be yucky. And what will you win? Good question… I will work on that. ** The winner is… drum roll… wait for it…. wait for it…. – It’s the “Hand me that Wrench” by Amy (check your email for details).
Floating Solar Farm
Far Niente, a Napa Valley winery, paid quite a bit of money for the first floating solar farm. The 1000 (plus another 1300 panels next to the pond) panels are floating on pontoons and provide about 4000 kilowatts of energy at peak. Seems wineries are very eco-conscious, or have tons of money, or both. The […]
Stripper And Beer Scented Candles?
Hotwicks are not your Mom’s candles… no morning breeze or lilac scents here. With scents like beer, campfire, coffee, dryer sheet, grass, hippie, new car, pancake, pigskin, popcorn, stripper, and urinal cake they are breaking the mold. Imagine the combinations… better yet, imagine the confusion you could cause with your buddies while burning beer scent […]
