James Binnion Samurai Ring
Using the ancient style of Mokume Gane technique that was used for Samurai swords, James Binnion Metal Works has turned out a pretty sweet wedding band. I guess this makes the second wedding ring I might wear, the first being the Kinekt. "Mokume gane is…a metal working technique developed in Japan approximately three to four […]
Microsoft Internet Explorer 9
Microsoft used to own the browser world but they have seen better products take market share, from almost 100% down to 60%. Pretty sad for a browser that comes bundled with the operating system. Just shows you that people really had a desire to leave internet explorer in search of a better option. Maybe Microsoft will […]
Plastics To Avoid
I have been meaning to write about which plastics to avoid. Not entirely gadget related, but very important information. You know the plastics that are known to leak toxins such as 3 (Vinyl or PVC), 6 (Polystyrene), and 7 (Miscellaneous). What spurred this rant about "bad" plastics? I was recently having lunch with a friend […]

At a recent electronics show Haier, a giant Chinese manufacturer, was showing off a human powered washing machine. The exercise bike has a lithium-ion battery that collects energy from pedal power and uses that energy to power the washing machine. Wine Stopper With Date Reminder
At first glance I thought I was looking at a dental instrument or some type of medical device. The picture above shows George Lee's latest design "a date with wine" which is basically a wine stopper with a twist-a-date feature. Not sure why but I want one, even though I drink every bottle I open […]

NYC Tap Water Contains Microscopic Shrimp
New York Tap Water comes pre-loaded with tiny crustaceans called copepods, or as I like to call them "mini shrimp". Yum. Talk about a deal, you get seafood with every free glass of NYC tap water. The Copepods are invisible to the human eye but can be seen under a microscope with some H&E Stain. […]
