Singing Machine SMC Home Karaoke System
The Singing Machine SMC Home Karaoke System has to be the prettiest karaoke system around. It looks like something from Bang & Olufsen. Even if you never sing a single song it is a very good looking piece to have sitting near your entertainment center. During the day, or night I suppose, you can use […]
Oma Imperia Speakers
Hmmm. Not sure about this design which is often hailed as “art”, maybe it would grow on me if I had $155,000 to spend on speakers. Yep. You read that right. $155K for a pair of Oma Imperia Speakers. Designed by David D’Imperio and built in Pennsylvania out of black walnut, cherry, or ash wood. […]
Ray Super Remote
After all of these years the household remote control has been far from perfect. Sure there are the Logitech Harmony remotes and a ton of others. They are ok but not great. And now there is another universal remote, the Ray Super Remote ($249). To be honest this could be more of the same as […]
Star Wars Lightsaber Selfie Stick
Take your love of Star Wars to the next level with the Darth Vader Lightsaber Selfie Stick ($25 + free shipping). This lightsaber selfie stick telescopes to just over 40-inches and has a spring loaded slot (2-3 1/4″) phone holder. For iPhone’s there is a cable that plugs into the headphone jack and allows pictures […]
Fusion Smart Guitar
Imagine an electric guitar with an embedded iPhone dock, lithium ion batteries, built-in Class-D 20W amplification, Peerless speakers, and loaded guitar app. You would be imagining the new Fusion Smart Guitar. The app allows users to control the amp effects, run a looping station, and record jam sessions over 8-tracks. I wonder why this took so […]
Netgear Arlo Q Cloud Video Recording
In the past I have said some nice things about the VueZone and Arlo systems. As much as I love the options you get from the battery powered wireless cameras that store video in the cloud, there are some inherent shortcomings. So, I have mostly moved over to the Dropcam Pro (Nest Cam) cameras but ever […]
DJI Osmo
DJI is known for their quadcopters no doubt. They, in my opinion, are the most reliable quads on the market today. Now they are applying their proven 3-axis stabilization to a handheld gimbal, the DJI Osmo ($649) with a 4k camera along for the ride. The camera shoots 4K video and up to 120fps at […]
The Light L16 Camera Changes Everything
The saying goes… the best camera is the one you have with you. It is true. And while I wish I could/would carry my DSLR camera with me at all times it just isn’t practical. So, a full 95-percent of my photos are shot with my Apple iPhone. Well things are about to change in […]
Aeon GoPro Gimbal Stabilizer
The Aeon GoPro Gimbal Stabilizer (currently $320 on IndieGoGo) isn’t the first GoPro gimbal stabilizer on the market. There are plenty already in the market like the BeStable SteadyGim3 ($319), Feiyu G3 ($220), Feiyu G4 ($250), and the SCG Glide Gear Scopio ($229). So why a fundraiser campaign for another 3-axis GoPro? Well it looks pretty cool, […]
Single Wheel Hoverboard
The single wheel electric skateboard isn’t a new concept (remember the OneWheel?) but the Hoverboard refines the idea and adds to the existing technology. It has a longer range, faster top speed, a quicker charge time, and I imagine is lighter at 25-lbs. The only wheel is a 10-inch wheel directly in the center of the […]
