This might just be the best $140 I have spent this week. At first glance this clock looks like an old piece of test hardware with two analog gauges. Look a bit closer and you will see the left gauge is labeled “hours” and the right gauge “minutes”. While the youngsters among us might not think this is neat it will give some of us older folks a touch of nostalgia. You can get your AWK-105...

Ever have a tough time reaching the top left/right navigation on your iPhone 6/6s and didn’t want to do the gentle home button double-tap trick? Apple calls this feature Reachability and you can check it out here if you have no idea what I am talking about. With that said, my hands are about normal size and I often struggle to reach the top corners of my iPhone 6s when using just one hand....

The saying goes… the best camera is the one you have with you. It is true. And while I wish I could/would carry my DSLR camera with me at all times it just isn’t practical. So, a full 95-percent of my photos are shot with my Apple iPhone. Well things are about to change in a big way. The Light L16 Camera ($1,699, minus $400 if you order this month) has 16 individual cameras and is the world’s first multi-aperture computational camera. What the heck does that mean? It means...

Imagine an iPhone (6) case that would allow instant access to your favorite information like stock prices, weather, email count, photos, boarding passes, notifications, and more. The Oaxis InkCase I6 ($99) is an iPhone 6 case with a built-in E-Ink display on the back. It has a tiny battery and uses Bluetooth for update from the iPhone. Sure your phone gets a bit thicker at 11.1mm but think of the info you can access without having to power...

The Aeon GoPro Gimbal Stabilizer (currently $320 on IndieGoGo) isn’t the first GoPro gimbal stabilizer on the market. There are plenty already in the market like the BeStable SteadyGim3 ($319), Feiyu G3 ($220),  Feiyu G4 ($250), and the SCG Glide Gear Scopio (

Apple announced a few new items yesterday including the iPad Pro, iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus, and a totally redesigned Apple TV. The new unit is called “The New Apple TV”. Really? Apple, if you are listening, clear out the old model and just call the new one “Apple TV”. Things are starting to get confusing over there. I digress. The new Apple TV is a pretty large leap for an already good product. You now get a new remote with a glass touchpad, integrated Siri voice control, 6-buttons (no more left, right, up, down),...

Zelf Koelman and a team took Ferrofluid, a black liquid with iron particles, and made a mesmerizing display they call Ferrolic. The display is filled with liquid, like an aquarium, and has powerful electromagnets in back that manipulate the ferro fluid. The display is a thing of beauty and may be hitting Kickstarter in the near future. If you can’t wait, there are 24 production models available for $8,500 a pop. Video after the break, worth a watch to drop your blood pressure...

If you were lucky enough as a kid to have a Lite-Brite set you know how mesmerizing and fun it was. If not go buy one and reclaim some of your youth for just $16 here. If you are rich, go ahead and skip that last suggestion and head over to Hero Design for one of their Everbright displays. The Everbright display has dials that can be turned to show just about any color you can imagine. They are huge and...

Sena has been making great motorcycle helmet intercoms and entertainment systems for a while now. I currently own the SMH10D-11 set and really enjoy being able to have music streaming from my phone to the helmet. It is also quite handy for communicating with my friends via the intercom while on rides or taking phone calls. Sounds like a bad idea I know. The first 2 minutes of every phone call is me arguing with the person on the other end of the line. They never believe...

Sure, we are barely getting used to 4K resolution and there isn’t even a ton of 4K content just yet. But it is coming. In fact, there are plenty of super high resolution videos on YouTube now. Apple, never content to rest, has just released their 27-inch Retina 5K iMac models (prices start at $1,999). Swing by an Apple store and check them out. They are a thing of beauty.   ...
