Cocktail Chemistry Set… Cool
Very cool cocktail set that looks like a mad scientists lab. I could have used this when I was in college, back then I was using old Taco Bell cups and straws. The kit is available for less than $39 and comes with everything you need (minus the booze) to get the party started. [Source]
First Time I have Ever Yearned For An Ice Cube Maker
Coolest ice maker/container I have seen in my short life. The IceOrb uses an internal cup to push the ice into the vertical cube holders. I read the description for this thing about 5 times and was still lost. Watch the video and you should get the idea. Not bad for $16!
Big Toys For Big Brother In UK
Friend of mine send me this pic of some anal retentive British Defense Ministry chap playing with what looks like a hover-copter. Apparently having Mother England covered with static surveillance cameras is not enough – time to upgrade the toys. At first look, this reminds me of one of those crappy remote hover choppers that […]
Portable Field Cooker Stove
I like this one… first time I have laughed out loud today. Not so much that there is a goofy gadget that allows you to strap a portable stove onto a tree… but that the picture they chose to use is that of a man and his sheep. Oh the lonely (hungry) man and his […]
Two Huge Solar Farms Coming to California
San Luis Obispo county is the latest in a race to build the world’s largest solar farm. The solar plant will cover 12.5 square miles and generate 800 megawatts of power! OptiSolar (550 megawatts) and SunPower (250 megawatts) will be doing the installation. The solar energy will be sold to PG&E at unknown rates. Via […]
OCZ Core Series V2 Sata II SSD
OCZ, the memory dudes, just released their Core Series 2.5-inch Sata SSD drive that is fast… very fast. The drive will write at 98Mb/s and read at 170MB/s, and maximum size will be 250GB’s. A cool feature is the addition of a mini USB port for firmware upgrades and hopefully external storage use. No […]
From Art To Chair/Table Set
I wish I knew where to find/buy this cool table and chair set. The artsy piece converts into a functional table set for four. Very cool.
Bad Ass Golf Carts
Bad Ass Golf Carts in Las Vegas has some seriously trick golf cart options. They offer everything from limousine stretch versions to lifted a full 14-inches. The best part… they put 24HP Honda engines in the carts so they are reliable. They aren’t cheap… the one I want starts at almost $13,000. [Source]
Solar Table
You may have noticed my solar fetish by now… I love solar! The Sun Table is a stainless steel and teak table with a built in 64 Watt unbreakable (the unbreakable part is questionable) solar panel, and a rechargeable battery (4 hours of good sun will charge the battery). The top has a hinge on […]
Another Robot Dog, Only Smaller
First came the Boston Dynamics “Big Dog”, then came the hilarious “Big Dog Spoof”… now there is the Boston Dynamics “LittleDog”. The little dog is smaller (duh) and quieter than the original. These robots are starting to worry me a bit… all of those old “robots taking over the world” movies are starting to look […]
