Hammock Tent
Love camping… but not a fan of pitching your tent on the ground with the scorpions, spiders, rodents, etc…? Check out the Lawson Hammock tent. This tent comes with spreader bars on both ends so you don’t feel like a mummy… it can hold one person and their gear. Pretty cool… assuming you can find […]
A Bowl Haircut For Your Goatee – the Goateesaver
When I first saw this I literally was laughing out loud (or LOL for the cool folks). This gadget is basically an adjustable goatee cover that you shave around. Think of the old fashioned bowl haircut. I have a goatee and sometimes (rarely) struggle with getting the shave straight. I am not sure if I […]
Axon Anti-Gravity RC Hovercraft – The Razorback
I love remote control gadgets… cars… boats… planes… helicopters… etc… So when I saw the video for the Axon Razorback RC hovercraft I pee’d a little. The Razorback will go 25mph right out of the box… but can go 50mph (won’t take 2 minutes to crash it at those speeds) with a simple motor upgrade. […]
Robot Sub Competition Winners Announced
Although I was deeply disappointed at the absence of robot sharks with frickin laser beams attached to their heads, the 11th International Autonomous Underwater Vehicle Competition was still awesome. Robotic subs competed in a variety of tasks showing off their technological prowess. This year a team from the University of Maryland emerged victorious unseating the […]
Toolkit For Women Is Lame
“If I can do it so can you.” This is the tag line for “Barbara K!” who claims that it is her “desire is to inspire women to become more self-reliant and confident in their own abilities…” Maybe she should start off by getting them a real tool kit instead of this POS 30-pc toolkit. […]
Hide Your Valuables – Hidden Safe In Filing Cabinet
I am one of the most paranoid types… I always think of where people will look when I am hiding something of value… and I always worry that my small safe (not bolted down) can just be picked up and walked away with. So, I like when I see “smart” ideas like this one by […]
Crazy BBQ Grills
Just in time for summer BBQ action… some of the craziest BBQ’s ever. We have shown you some cool BBQ tools and grills in the past… but some of these grills are over the top. Not to pass judgement… but you know these are all from the South and Midwest… who else can weld […]
Portable Fireplace…Um Ok?
Inventions for the sake of inventions… puzzled how stuff like this makes it to market. Conmoto has made a portable fireplace labeled the travelmate. The unit weights 55 pounds (not so portable) and burns bio-ethanol (no smoke). I really can’t think of many uses for this type of thing. Any ideas? Yours for only $3,300???
Find Your Luggage Easier At The Airport Carousel
Seems like 90% of the luggage out there looks identical these days. Some folks try and differentiate their luggage with a piece of yarn or tape… and that works fine, until your luggage flips over, etc… Enter the “Easy-2-Pick” which should be available this fall for under $20. The Easy-2-Pick lights up, beeps, and vibrates […]
iPhone App – Multi-Client IM App
Palringo is the first official multi-client IM (instant messenger) application for the iPhone. The program supports Google Talk/Jabber, Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo, ICQ, iChat, and Gadu-Gadu. I just got done installing it… it takes a a bit to figure it out… but seems to work well once you get the settings right.
