DJI Phantom 4
DJI is at it again and has just released their latest quadcopter the Phantom 4. The body looks similar but it is a total redesign. The big difference between the Phantom 3 and the Phantom 4 are the following – Longer flight time of 28 minutes (vs 23-25) Over 3 mile range Faster flight speeds […]
Solar Suntree
It is simple enough and is sure to be a conversation starter. The Solar Suntree sports 9 tiny solar panels, a built-in 1400mAh rechargeable battery, and USB port. Just give it a space near a window so it can get sufficient solar energy and let it do the rest. The internal battery will charge up […]
Volkswagen Trailer Assist Behind The Scenes
This is a cool video of what appears to be a guy driving his car in reverse at high speed while towing a trailer. It shows the car passing cars on the highway, navigating tricky streets, and doing tight u-turns. All while towing a trailer. In actuality the trailer is the tow vehicle. This is […]
The Russian SHERP ATV
That is it. I am selling the Prius. The Russian’s have figured out what my next car is going to look like. It is going to look like the SHERP ATV. Mainly because it is going to be a SHERP ATV. The Russian SHERP looks like a lot of fun. Forget about the fact that […]
Legacy Jeep Scrambler
Remember when Jeeps weren’t family cars with plush interiors and 10 cup-holders? You know, the old 1980’s CJ-8 for example. The folks at Legacy Classic Trucks are pimping out an old Jeep Scrambler. The Legacy Jeep Scrambler ($110K) starts off the restoration with an aluminum 6.2L V8 engine that cranks out 430-horsepower. And then they […]
Bicycle Self Filling Water Bottle Converts Humidity Into Drinkable H20
Imagine a water bottle on your bike that was self-filling. That is what Kristof Retezár hopes to create with his Fontus water bottle. The idea is simple enough; the water bottle uses solar cells to create an electrical temperature change which creates condensation. The condensed water is then stored in the water bottle for drinking. Sounds […]
Best UTV Skid Plates For The Money
If you were lucky enough to get a new UTV or Side-by-side for Christmas this year, congrats. I got a self balancing scooter. You know the “hoverboard” gadget that sends old men, like me, to the hospital. I’m not complaining. Thanks Uncle Vinnie. But… it isn’t a Kawasaki Teryx or a RZR XP 1000. I’m […]
Vitality Air Sells Canned Canadian Air To China
Chinese air quality, from excessive pollution, has gotten so bad that some residents are buying canned air from the Canadian Rocky Mountains to inhale. My first response was you have to be $&!tt!*% me! Yes, I understand air quality is bad. Really bad! But huffing some canned Canadian air isn’t the solution. Hell, it isn’t […]
The Anti-Earthquake Bed
Just watching this video triggered my claustrophobic feelings. Geesh. Talk about an instant coffin. Or at least that is what I see. The idea behind this bed system is that if it senses the earth shaking it automatically drops you inside of a metal coffin case where you presumably stored some water and snacks. You […]
Roost Smart 9V Battery Solves Smoke Detector Nightmares
There isn’t a simpler way to make your dumb smoke detector smart. The Roost 9V Battery ($34.99) has Wifi built-in to the battery. This means it can alert you when the battery is low (about every 5 years), alert you when your smoke detector is alarming (even when you are away), and can be snoozed via […]
