Have a backyard? Want to save money on your refrigeration costs? The Groundfridge might fit the bill. The Groundfridge is a modern take on the old root cellar. It was built by a Dutch designer, Floris Schoonderbeek, and uses thermal inertia to keep temperatures constant throughout the year. Groundfridge will keep contents between 10 and 12 degrees Celsius (50 to 53.6 degrees Fahrenheit) all year. Not ideal for meats, but great for vegetables, cheese, wine, etc… The good part, it is it can hold the equivalent of 20 standard size...

Quite possibly the coolest key holder available. Especially if you are the musician type. The Jack Rack Amp Key Holder is basically the front panel of an old amplifier. Each set of keys (4) gets a 1/4-inch input jack.  Heck you even get to pick the amp brand (vintage, Invader, Equalizer, Friedman, Legato, etc..).

For the iPhone folks amongst us. Quit being so cheap and buy the highest capacity. People still buy the lowest memory iPhone install a bunch of apps, take a bunch of pictures/videos… and then wonder why they are out of space. Ok, I got that out of the way. Back to reality. SanDisk...

Ever been woken up in the middle of the night by a sound in your home that shouldn’t be there? Is it the cat? An intruder? This is when some folks grab the shotgun and go explore the rooms of their house with goosebumps everywhere. Not fun. Even less fun if you have to open a gun safe or remember where you put your trusty pump-action shotgun. That is why the team at The Original Gun Bed have come up with a hidden gun storage...

Upcart Stair Climbing 6 wheel cart

Who knew I would get excited about a utility cart? Not me. The UpCart combines an all-terrain three-wheel chassis with a folding hand cart. Imagine a cart that can carry a 100-pound filing cabinet up the stairs without the traditional two-wheel bounce. Now imagine that same cart hauling the groceries and then folding flat to hide behind the couch. . It folds to a depth of just over four inches. Getting excited yet? You really have to see the video below to be “sold”.

The UpCart has good stability and is capable of “walking” over curbs and stairs. This means less pull/push forces needed from the user. Less effort and strain required to transport loads over uneven surfaces and stairs is a good thing.

If the $99 price is too much, you can check out a very similar, and well reviewed, Metaltex Cart ($33).

Drinking beer is serious business and is not to be take lightly. Sure you can show up to your next summer bbq with a cooler. It would be cooler though, to show up with a Beer Briefcase ($41). Each bottle is safely nestled in its own foam slot and there is even a combination lock to keep your beer safe. ...

Imagine having your personal drone in the air for over an hour instead of just 20 minutes. Yep, longer runs, better videos, and more fun. Not to mention the commercial aspect of package delivery and search/rescue missions. Researchers at the Pohang University of Science and Technology (Postech) claim they have created a miniature solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) that can power cellphones, cars, drones, etc… The difference between older SOFC technology and this new version has to...

Imagine a water bottle on your bike that was self-filling. That is what Kristof Retezár hopes to create with his Fontus water bottle. The idea is simple enough; the water bottle uses solar cells to create an electrical temperature change which creates condensation. The condensed water is then stored in the water bottle for drinking. Sounds good at first glance but it seems to only create one drop of water per minute. After more than 30 experiments, I finally achieved a constant drop-flow of one drop of condensed water per minute. After...

Video and image files continue to grow as higher resolution devices become more mainstream. This means that your stock hard drive on your MacBook Air or MacBook Pro might need some help. Upgrading hard drives on MacBooks is a bit tough so this solution from BaseQi is pretty cool. The BaseQi Ninja Stealth Drive can add up to 200GB’s of...
