LCD TVs Finally Beat Out CRTs In Worldwide Shipments

LCD vs CRT

 

Worldwide shipments of LCD TVs have finally surpassed CRT TVs for the first time.  LCD TV sales have risen 56 percent year over year, reaching 60.8 million units in the forth quarter of 2007 alone.  From a dollars standpoint, LCD TVs are kicking butt, owning $68 billion of the $100 billion in 2007 sales.  Full details here.

  1. Silly me, I thought that happened like 5 years ago! I don’t know anyone that has bought at CRT tv in a loooooong time.
