Panasonic Evolta Robot

image

Looks like Panasonic has the Energizer Bunny dead in their sites.   Panasonic has created a new “longer lasting” AA battery labeled the Evolta (combining “evolution” and “voltage”), which is supposed to last 20 percent longer than anything offered by Duracell and Energizer.  Panasonic put some of these batteries in a rope climbing robot and set it lose on the Grand Canyon – it climbed about 1,740 feet for about 6 hours and 46 minutes.

“Guinness World Records certified Evolta as “the longest-lasting AA alkaline battery cell,” based on testing under guidelines set by the industry’s International Electrotechnical Commission this year.”

My humble opinion – buy rechargeable’s.
