GE VScan Portable Ultrasound Machine

The ultrasound machines of the past are sweating bullets, they cost $250,000 and are huge.  GE is changing things up with their VScan portable ultrasound machine.

The devices goal (outside of the obvious, to make $$$) is to make ultrasounds cheaper and easier.  The doctor shouldn't need to make such a big deal out of an ultrasound any more, soon they may be as simple as taking your temperature.

The device should be available sometime next year.  Video after the break.
