Renault Zoe… Cheaper Than A Nissan Leaf

Renault Zoe EV

Wait, aren't Renault and Nissan sharing the same CEO?  Aren't they partners?  Well they may be partnered up and sharing the same CEO, but competition is still fierce.  The Renault Zoe (2012) is going to give the Nissan Leaf a run for the money.

The Renault Zoe EV will be almost half the price of the Nissan Leaf, but there is a catch.  You have to lease your Zoe battery for about €100 per month.  Even with that expense it would take about 10 years for the Zoe to catch up to the Leaf's price.  Not to mention, if I am leasing a battery and it has a problem, I will be very vocal about getting it fixed for free.
