Flight Assembled Architecture

Flight Assembled Architecture An installation at the FRAC Centre in Orleans, France is using autonomous quadrocopter robots to build a 20-foot tall tower with 1,500 blocks.  Pretty amazing.

The robotic four-blade helicopters place each building block in an exact location according to an existing blueprint.

"The show is the work of ETH Zurich roboticist Raffaello D’Andrea and architects Fabio Gramazio and Matthias Kohler."

Video of the robotic quadrocopters after the break.
