Sony AS30 Action Cam Is Here

Sony Action Cam AS30

The long awaited competitor to the GoPro line from Sony has finally arrived.  About a full year after the first Sony Action Cam AS10 hit the market the Action Cam AS30 is here.  At first glance it looks the same with a notable difference being a cheaper looking waterproof case.

Inside the AS30 is now a GPS capability.  This allows you to do map overlays and more using the Sony editing software in multi-view.  Another cool trick is the ability to use two cameras for a 360 degree action shot.  There is a 16 Megapixel EXMOR sensor, Carl Zeiss lens, image stabilization, and 170 degree viewing angle.  One of the most important features, for slow motion freaks, is the 1080P video at 60fps.  Lastly, this camera has more mounting options including chest mounts (AKA-CMH1), head mount kits, roll bar mount, etc… Yours for $299.99
