Bandit9 Bishop Motorcycle Build Update #2
At long last… another Bandit9 Bishop Motorcycle/Scooter update. If you aren’t caught up not this build you can read the first two posts here and here. Read on for the latest progress on this crazy little bike.
11/18/14 Update
Here’s another quick update. Most of the fabrication work is done. What we’re doing right now is putting together the pieces and making some final adjustments, design tweaks, etc. These are the major hurdles left:
MUFFLER
I’ve included a short video of the muffler system. It’s not something we planned for but it’s something we really want to do. We are testing this propeller mechanism that makes the bike sound like a jet. We are doing our best to make this function as we imagine but it might take a bit of time. I hope you’re as excited about this as we are.
WOOD
From the images, you can see we’ve been incredibly selective of the side panels. We wanted to make sure you had the best look grain on the bike. Right now, we are testing a few oil bases and coats to see what combination works best with the lunar grey look of the Bishop. Again, we ask for your patience so we can deliver something pristine to you.
SWITCHES
We are still looking at our options for this. We have fabricated a few designs for it but we just haven’t settled on one just yet. This may be the final piece to add.
TESTING
We need about a week to do a stress test on your bike to make sure everything’s in working order. Vintage motorcycles require a lot of love and attention and just want to give it a thorough check before handing her over to you.
