At first glance this 2018 Honda Civic Type R Prototype looks like a teenager spent some time bolting bits onto a stock Civic. Will this prototype make it to market? Will folks buy it?
Some of the 2018 Type R Civic bling includes a brushed titanium-satin paint job, a hood scoop, 3-exhaust pipes, vented front fenders, a rear diffuser, bumper ducts, and a large rear wing. Functional updates include a turbocharged 2.0L 4-cylinder VTEC engine (306-horsepower and 400 foot-pounds of torque) and a manual 6-speed transmission.
