Police Using Electric Motorcycles?

Electric Police Motorcycle

Apparently police departments are flush with cash despite posturing about budget cuts and layoffs.  Oh the hypocrisy.  Lucky for them the general public is quick to forget yesterdays news.

Now on to the exciting and obvious bits.  Zero Motorcycles is pushing their latest bike the Zero S to the local, Northern California, police departments.  This law-enforcement electric motorcycle will go between 70 and 112 miles depending on driving habits and has a top speed of 95 mph.  The bike can be loaded up with crash bars, police lights, a shotgun rack, a siren, a quick charger, windscreen, and hard cases.

Almost forgot the most important part, the cops are now sneakier than ever.  These things are super quiet.
