Caffeinated Potato Chips, Um No Thanks

Engobi Caffeine Chips

I, unlike my co-workers (you know who you are), do not need to visit Starbucks to function in the morning…. thank goodness as I have enough vices to deal with.  But for those of you who love your caffeine happiness but just can’t be bothered with another caffeinated drink, how about some lemon flavored potato chips?  Yuck.  Engobi “Energy Go Bites” come in two flavors cinnamon and lemon.  Is it just me, or does that sound disgusting?  A 1.5-ounce serving is supposed to contain “70% more caffeine than those little energy drinks.”

UPDATE – The product is NOT a potato chip.  It is made of corn and wheat.  (Thanks for the update Melody)

  1. ENGOBI is a chip, but not a potato chip. It’s made of corn and wheat, and some people have been comparing the taste — which they rave about — to breakfast cereal. If you’ll e-mail me offline, I can send you a sample…

  2. Will be happy to try a sample and let the world know what we think. Nothing better than a proactive manufacturer. I assume you are the manufacturer.

  3. Don’t knock em til you try em! Samples for all the readers – yipppeeee!

  4. Where can you buy these? I will run out and grab some for lunch and let you know today. I happen to be a caffeine addict 🙂
