Bicycle Belt Drive

Bicycle Belt Drive

Let me start off by saying… it is about time!  Bicycle manufacturers are starting the switch from the metal bike chain to the new smoother belt drive.

The clunky bicycle chain has been one of the weak points of the bicycle, in my opinion, for too long.  I will never forget slipping chains, greasy black fingers, and the incessant clicking and grinding.

Trek has already started using the belt drive on two of their urban models, the District and the Soho ($930 and $990).
