The Zero S Street Legal Electric Motorcycle

Zero S Electric Motorcycle

The folks at Zero Motorcycles have finally made a street legal motorcycle.  They already own the electric dirt bike market.  The bike is 100% electric, has a top speed of 60mph (bummer), 31 horsepower (similar to a 250cc gas bike), and fully charges in under 4 hours.  I would own one today if I could go about 85mph to keep up with traffic.  The bike is going to cost under $10,000 which is much cheaper than the electric Mission One bike.

Aircraft grade aluminum is exclusively used in the construction of the lightweight and rigid Zero S twin spar frame. One look at the frame and it speaks for itself. It is aggressive, strong and one of the main reasons that the Zero S can take on anything in an urban environment. Designed to have a low center of gravity, the Zero S is highly maneuverable and responsive. The body is completed using custom injected molded plastics to give it aerodynamics and aggressive supermoto styling.
