Logitech S715i Review

Logitech S715i Back Logitech S715i Review

I am hopelessly addicted to portable iPod/iPhone docks.  They just make sense, you carry all of this music around in your pocket, time to share your tunes.  Read on for the full Logitech S715i Review.

Not sure why this is, but the Logitech S715i looks humongous in pictures.  It isn't as big as you might think, in fact it is only 15.2" x 2.4" x 5.2" and weights just 1.5 lbs.  The unit remains curvy and smooth and has a kickstand that unfolds to support the speaker system.

Logitech S715i Remote On the front of the S715i is a power status indicator, a power button, volume up, and volume down buttons.  That is it, other than the speakers.  Not sure why they didn't include an track button for skipping songs.  Not to worry though, you can control that via the iPod or the included remote control.  The remote control has buttons for volume, power, play/pause, repeat/shuffle, and track.

The S715i also comes with a handy storage case that holds the boom box, remote, and AC adapter.

In terms of sound quality, it is surprisingly good.  I guess that might have something to do with the amazing amount of speakers, you get two 3"³ drivers, two .5"³ tweeters, and four 2"³ passive radiators.  The speakers are loud (louder, and more bass when plugged in”) and have a pretty full sound spectrum.  The sound quality is equivalent to a bigger and more expensive unit.

Battery life is an impressive eight hours.
