Makerbot Replicator 2

The new MakerBot Replicator 2 is starting to look more prime-time and mainstream ready.  The latest Replicator 2 also sports a 100-micron resolution (very detailed) while being able to build items 37-percent larger than the previous version.

For $2,100 you get the 3D printer and a copy of MakerWare software which allows you to build and resize shapes on the fly.

It looks like 3D printing is going to become a reality with folks printing stuff at home.  Perfect for the inventor or researcher who wants to crank out parts, toys, or whatever you can imagine.  Video and more after the break.
